1) Dealership will complete your title application and your registration for your newly purchased vehicle.
Your dealer is able to provide you with a range of vehicle registration options including:
- Transfer/renew an existing qualifying plate providing you are the named owner. Additional owners can be added to an existing plate
however, removal of ownership requires a special dealer provided form signed by the original owner.
- Issue a new plate
Dealership will collect the cost to title your vehicle at time of delivery. Plate registration fees are at an additional cost and
collected from you after the quote notification.
When your dealer completes the registration the BMV will collect the registration fees from the dealer. You will receive your plate
(if applicable), including all stickers and registration within 10 days from transaction completion.
2) Dealership will complete your title application only.
Dealership will mail you a copy of the Title Application. Your vehicle registration options include:
- Visiting a BMV branch to complete your registration.
- You may apply for new plates on-line if you do not have a plate or credit to transfer to your newly purchased vehicle.
The BMV website is https://secure.in.gov/apps/bmv/mybmv/ Please note you must create a MyBMV account and have your completed
title application in order to apply on-line for the new plates. You will receive your plate, including all stickers and registration within
10 days from transaction completion.
